Petaluma, CA – On Friday, August 23, 118 golfers came out for the 29th Annual Hansel Auto Group Challenge at Rooster Run Golf Club and helped raise nearly $50,000 to support after school and summer programs at Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin in Petaluma.
The 4-person scramble event was won by the team sponsored by North Bay Petroleum. In second place was the ACV Auctions team and in third place was COX Automotive Group. Golfers were treated to lots of great items out on the golf course from Club friends; Cox Auto/DealerTrack, Redwood Credit Union, UpdatePromise, Coast Landscaping Management, and Hansel Auto Group. The tradition of BBQ Oysters continued as well thanks to Assurant. Other major sponsors included Enterprise, MOC Products, Toyota Motor Sales, Wells Fargo Auto, Cross Country Mortgage, St. Joseph Health/Synergy Health Club, and AVC Auto, among others.
“The Hansel Auto Group Golf Challenge is a well-known community tradition, and this year’s tournament was a great success as always thanks to our sponsors,” says Jason Weiss, Vice President of Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin. “A special thanks to Justin Hansel and the Hansel Auto Group for helping raise almost a million dollars over the past 29 years to support Boys & Girls Club programs here in Petaluma.”
