Description of Product for Bid:
SFSP breakfast and lunch meals and CACFP supper meals will be appropriate for K-12th grade and be delivered Monday through Friday at each respective center. Options for meals that meet CACFP requirements for allergens (equivalent) must include soy milk, gluten free, dairy free, and peanut free products. Meals must be compliant with not only CACFP regulations, but must also meet our national Healthy Eating Standards, see website for more information at https://indd.adobe.com/view/681ce31e-c7b2-4ab2-983d-d644ffb6b71d
These standards include high quality, minimally processed, nutrient dense foods made with whole grains and heart-healthy fats or oils and without added sugar or trans fats; whole fresh fruits and vegetables; and beverages made without added sugars. All foods and beverages will be nitrates and nitrate free and made without artificial colors, flavors, high fructose corn syrup or preservatives. Milk will be RSVO hormone free.
Must have capacity to expand to other locations as the need arises.
The following types and quantities of meals:
LUNCH AVERAGE: 876 MEALS PER DAY AT EACH SFSP SITE (5 DAYS A WEEK)
BREAKFAST AVERAGE: 485 MEALS PER DAY AT EACH SFSP SITE (5 DAYS A WEEK)
SUPPER AVERAGE: 840 MEALS PER DAY AT EACH CACFP SITE (5 DAYS A WEEK)
Daily delivery of meals to 10 SFSP & 18 CACFP center(s).

Types or forms of packaging or containerizing to be used for meals (based on an 11-day menu cycle the agency will provide):
All supper meals to be unitized meals, milk packaged separately. No canned fruits or vegetables. Fresh fruit and or vegetables will be offered for each meal daily for both programs and can be packaged separately. Vendor to provide the necessary utensils, napkins, paper supplies and condiments in sufficient quantity for meals ordered.
All meals of each type must meet the minimum standards set by the USDA for CACFP meals of that type.
The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid is responsive to this invitation and is most advantageous to the agency, price, and other factors considered. Any bids or all bids may be rejected when it is in the interest of the agency to do so.
