Area Directors

AnaMarisa Lopez | Director of Intervention & Diversion Services

BGCCSC is made up of passionate people who work to serve the youth that need us most, and AnaMarisa is proud to be one of them.  She fell in love with her work, serving the at-risk youth of the county and is honored to be a part of an organization that drives change and advocacy for underprivileged youth.  Ana’s exposure to youth development stems from her parents’ careers in education, and she has enjoyed the professional and personal growth gained from working with her colleagues and Members alike.  She is humbled by the change seen as a result of the hard work and intentionality behind the mentorship in her department and looks to every day as a new opportunity for positive change.

Carly Lynch | Area Director

Carly has been working with Santa Rosa Youth for close to 10 years, specifically with BGCCSC for 5 years to date. Growing up in the Santa Rosa Community, attending SRCS schools and creating partnerships along the way, Carly could not be more at home working for BGCCSC. Carly’s passion for changing lives, creating relationships, and academic success is evident in her work with our Members. Through Carly’s years working with BGCCSC and experience with athletics she has manages to create an intramural league offered and implemented at many of our Clubs. As a resident of Santa Rosa, Carly enjoys experiencing life outdoors, spending time with family, and above all, changing the lives of the youth that need us the most.

Alicia Morales | Area Director

Alicia Morales has been in the field of education since 2001. She attended Sonoma State University where she earned her Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. While attending Sonoma State, she worked as a preschool teacher on campus for 10 years before joining the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Sonoma County in 2012. With many years’ experience working with young children Alicia enjoys mentoring our team how to best work with our youngest Members, focusing on developing the skills necessary to succeed in and out of school whether or not they had the opportunity to attend preschool. She is passionate about teaching our Members how to be resilient, caring, responsible and productive citizens. Alicia lives in beautiful West County with her son, who attends a local school.

Crystal Silva | Area Director

Crystal is originally from Sonoma County and recently returned to the area a couple of years ago to pursue her passion for helping her community. Crystal grew up playing basketball at the Healdsburg Boys & Girls Club and has always enjoyed the spark a young person brings into the world.  During her time away, Crystal lived and worked in Louisiana as a preschool, kindergarten and first grade teacher as well as managing an intercity City Year Program in both a middle school and high school setting.  Crystal earned her BA from Tulane University in Anthropology and International Development.  She is a proud member of her community, and is continually inspired by her colleagues and the Members she works with every day.

Katie Welch | Director of Program Services

Katie has over twelve years of experience working with youth in preschools, afterschool programs, and teaching in classroom settings. Katie received her BA in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and her Elementary Teaching Credential from San Francisco State University. While Katie has spent the majority of her professional career working with children, she left the realm of education in 2009 to take a position in the corporate world as an executive team leader for Target. Finding that nothing for her was as rewarding as working with children, she is back and excited to help drive the Boys & Girls Club mission of impacting positive change in the lives of the youth that need it the most. Katie is most excited by the challenge of inspiring her team to develop high quality programs that incorporate fun and foster positive social relationships.
