Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Sonoma County’s annual Healdsburg fundraiser was held on Saturday, April 8 at the Villa Chanticleer in Healdsburg. This year’s theme was Safari Night, featuring a menagerie of animal decorations ranging from zebra print scarves to lifesize elephant cutouts. The organization thanks the Healdsburg & Geyserville Community Council for their efforts in making this record-shattering event a success. Members include council chair Jim Dadaos, Bob Angell, Gretchen Crebs, Bob Durler, Parke Hafner, Renee Mengali, Eddie Merideth, Whitney Opperman, Erik Olsen and event chair Elise Bulger.

The Ukulele Club, led by Caroline Olsen serenaded guests before dinner prepared by Ken Rochioli. During the auction, participants gave generously to support summer camp programming for youth. With camps in seven communities, the clubs provides enriching programs for more than 1,000 Sonoma County kids every day this summer. The club is registering members now in Healdsburg (and across the county) for its award-winning summer programs. The caring staff provides campers breakfast, lunch and meaningful opportunities for growth and development. Campers join for 50 days in a fun and safe place to learn, grow, play and explore.
