Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Sonoma County Partnering With Yoobi to DonateSchool Supplies to Every Student Of Jefferson Elementary School (Cloverdale)
(CLOVERDALE, Calif.) — Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Sonoma County has partnered with Yoobi School Supplies to provide nearly 1,000 students at Jefferson Elementary and Washington School with essential school supplies. Cloverdale Community Council members, Marta Cruz, Jeremy Decker, Kathryn Hecht, Beverlee Laird, and Gus Wolter were on hand to help in distributing the supplies to students at Jefferson Elementary School. Each student received a Yoobi Classroom Pack which includes: 2 sets of 3 No. 2 pencils, 1 set of 5 crayons, 1 set of 5 colored pencils, 1 set of 5 markers, 1 pencil sharpener, 1 pencil case, 2 erasers, 1 folder, 3 glue sticks, 1 ruler, and 1 Yoobi sticker (just for fun!). Plus, each Yoobi Classroom Pack comes with 5 scissors for the class to share.
Yoobi explains their vision, “We think that school supplies should be available to every child in every classroom, and teachers should not have to spend their hard-earned money to make that happen. To address this, Yoobi keeps a simple promise – for every Yoobi item you buy, a Yoobi item is donated to a classroom in need, right here in the U.S. Since we launched, we’ve donated school supplies to more than 3 million kids.”
Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Sonoma County is very excited for this partnership with Yoobi which aligns with a rollout of the GREAT FUTURES Campaign for Cloverdale Kids, a $70K campaign to increase awareness and participation in the Cloverdale after school and summer youth programs. A Campaign Kick-off event is scheduled for Tuesday, November 8th, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at the Cloverdale Clubhouse (686 Cloverdale Blvd.). The event is open to the entire community and we hope they will join us as we celebrate and exciting year to come.
