Meeting the National Standard of Excellence: 2024 Safety Assessment Results

At the Clubs, the safety and well-being of each Member is our number one priority. In 2024, Boys & Girls Clubs of America performed their annual assessment to ensure that each Club meets national safety standards and procedures. We are pleased to share that each of our Clubs exceeded the standards, meeting the Boys & Girls Clubs national criteria for excellence.

Our Staff’s ability to articulate the safety policies and procedures was most notable. One of the auditors stated, “Staff have demonstrated a remarkable understanding of their role as mandated reporters and the procedures for reporting incidents and accidents within the organization. They also demonstrated a commendable understanding of the emergency operations plan, including protocols for alerting relevant parties and taking appropriate actions in emergency situations.” Moreover, the auditors observed continuous positive interactions between Staff and Members; supportive relationships were evident.
